The last several weeks we have been lookin at the Christmas story accounts from a larger picture... from God's and Satans view point. That as Jesus entered the world and was born, an invasion began where God sent his best... his son to save us from the enemy known as Satan.
Over the last few weeks we've explored Christmas from Revelations Chapter 12... great cosmic, big picture view. WOW!
We've looked how God invaded the power of the day and deeply distrubed Herod and all the people.
What disturbs you about Christmas and aboutr Jesus?
This week we saw how God invaded the dreams of people as Jesus arrived. It's a harsh reality when God has to first "Shatter our dreams before he can invade them." Have your dreams been shattered so that God can give you his bigger, better, bolder dreams?
As he invades our dreams he says "don't be afraid". "Change Directions, enter unknown territory" and "Act on the dream".
This invasion series has touched people in ways that goes beyond whatb I had dreamed of myself. I'm so excited as to how God is invading and reshaping people this Chritsmas season. Have you been invaded by God? Are you moving and helping to advanced the invasion that began 2,000 years ago?

The invasion has continued this week through the lives at Journey. Sunday a young lady wanted to recommit herself to God, to allow him to really invade her life and lead.
Last night another recommitment by another person. Moving from sitting to a life of action and adventure with God.
Earlier this month a guy recommitted himself to God and embracing life as a Jesus follower/ disciple rather than just bring a believer.
In earlier 2007, we have two baptims planned.
WOW!!!! God has come again, a new this Christmas season. People are seeing the bigger picture of Christmas and running to embrace it.
Praise to Our Great God, the God that longs to invade our lives and call us onto his "invasion force". Man I can't wait to see what happends today,, Friday, Saturday and especially Sunday a we see how God invades our hearts.
God has certainly invaded my heart this Christmas. He came with a snowplow. Apparently there was more snow in my heart than there was outside.
Liz,
What a great word picture!
You're not the only one that has felt the cutting edge of the snowplow.
Let it run deep and break up the frozen parts of all of our lives to that we may live fully alive... insteand of deeply frozen!
Today we talked about how God shatters our dreams and lets us see what big ones he had in store for us. I believe that these dreams are sometimes the stepping stones to what we are truly meant to be. Frankly, it works for me. I really think that in the beginning it was my dream to be a mother, but God had a better idea. He know what I am like. He wanted me to be a mother to a lot of kids. He shattered my dream so that he could build my daycare. But I am not positive that my daycare is my dream. I believe that there is something else coming.
Something that will make a difference.
We are starting soon a series on hospital or daycare. I almost wonder if it is a hospital first and a daycare second. When people first come in, they may need a lot of attention to get them "well" and "whole" again. Then as they get stronger and more mature, they are able to master more on their own. Speaking from experience, most of the older kids don't need me as much as the younger ones, I am merely available to referee and step in when they have something that is too big for them to handle. After guidance, they are back to independence. To me, this is like the church. As we mature, we learn how to handle situations. But if we get to something too big, we can ask for help. As we get more mature, we can handle more on our own and we no longer need as much help, but the church is still there in the background if we do.
I have enjoyed the invasion series. Not your 'typical' Christmas message. I understand that was the point.
Looking forward to the daycare/hospital series.
