It's time for our annual discussion series "at the movies".
Each August we explore several film from this year, looking at what they may be saying to us and then what the scriptures may have to say in light of the films.
We pay at least $8.00 to laugh, cry, cheer or sometimes ponder life as we watch films at a theater. We all have our favorites.
So here is your chance to help me plan a discussion series.
What films caught your attention this year?
What themes, messages, ideas have been projected through these films.
Don't hold back... I really want your feedback.
Comedy, action, adventure, horror, science-fiction, docudrama. They are all fair game.

- Rich Bontrager serves as the lead Pastor of Journey Church in Rochester, MN, which is focused at reaching young adults. Rich is church planter at heart and has a dream of seeing more churches planted along Interstate I-90 (MN & Iowa). In 2009 Journey planted the Crux Church in Faribualt, MN and in the fall of 2011 Journey will give birth to it’s second daughter church in Stewertville, MN. Rich loves to travel and speak with young adults about boldly making an impact in the world today for Christ. In 2010 Journey opened up the Uturn Coffeehouse & Event Center. Rich and his wife Cyndi, have three daughters Abbi, Sarah and Hannah.

Benjamin Button was an awesome movie! A tale of a man who is born old and dies young. I like the film because it puts life not into perspective but more of a self reflection. No matter what life has dealt you no matter how different you may feel we all go through similar hardships and only with the help of each other can these difficulties and hardships be dealth with. I think Bejamin Button shows movie goers that eve though he was different he had to go through life just like everyone else. It was up to him to decide what that life would be like.
I hadn't thought about that film.

No order set yet.... but I'm still narrowing down my last two films.
I can't wait to jump into this material and topics.
