Farve

I have been a Green Bay Packer fan all of my life and have been fortunate to see the greatest NFL QB play the game and play it for one team and with a great amount of class. The last few months it has been extremely hard to see and hear how Brett Farve is behaving. I can understand his passion and drive for the game. Personally I think he never should have retired. I thought he had a least one or two more good years in him.

But once he retired... stay retired... stay a man of class.

Today his actions continue hurt the lasting image we all have of him. I wish Reggie White were alive, I believe Brett would listen to the wise counsel of Reggie and stay retired. The Packers are have done the right thing in this case. Farve retired, they drafted for Rodgers skills and moved on. You can't second guess yourself in August, in the NFL. Farve in his head knows this, but his heart and passions are over riding common sense. It's so hard to hear and watch.

I really hope he doesn't get traded, become a hired gun and go out looking ugly!
I really hope he wakes up tomorrow, realizes what a mess he making completely comes down to reality.

I have really enjoyed seeing Farve play the game with the freedom, love and passion of a kid. But now it's time to grow up and leave the field like a man... as he first said he was doing.

Brett thanks for the memories..... please don't tarnish them anymore.... please.

I know I don't really want my team to get him...but will welcome the hall-of-famer should he become a Buccaneer! Sad for a hard-working QB like Jeff Garcia if it does happen, though...coming off a pro-bowl year and all...though injury-prone, IMO.

I am personally sad to know of the possibility that Favre will not END as a Packer!...but do believe he can help a team greatly(If he knows the system...like Minnesota or Tampa)

I am in shock. I just read that it confirmed Green Bay actaully agreed and has traded Farve the Bucs. Now nothing against the Bucs. But what is everyone thinking... from Farve to the GB front office?

Where does be a man, be true to your word, respect the game come into this? I know it's hard to the do the right thing... but man oh man. Farve should have stayed out. GB should have kept him out and other teams should have help protected the integrity of the game and a hero's image for the sake of the game.

I am a Packer fan... always will be... but today I am sad to see how all this has played out. Very sad.

I agree Rich - Brett was a man of class. He showed us that by conquering his addiction to drugs, staying true to Deanna and playing the game Sunday after Sunday. Now, he's soured me on football,on the Packers, on himself. Not too far off from your message this morning....

Mary, you are right... our discussion on Sunday directly leads itself to Brett Farve. It's just to painful to say out-loud and admit sometimes.

During Monday night football they called Brett a DIVA. Wow... that's not what I ever thought I'd hear someone say about #4.

Last night I watched the Packers take on the Bengals in a pre-season Monday night game. The focus on the night was the beginning of the Rogers era in Green Bay and the not so pretty end to the Farve era.

Earlier on YouTube someone posted a clip clip of Farve blowing a snap at the Jets practice and having to run a lap. Compare that to seeing Rogers play pretty solid an through for a TD! Both the Jets and the Packers will be watched and studied like never before, not just Farve and Rodgers. Title-town may feel like NY for a while.... and that's gonna be almost as strange as see in Farve in a Jets uniform.

The story continues... I hope that it has a happy ending.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the Farve pictures and NY Jet's Jersey graphics that I have received. I can feel the love pouring out of you all :)
